Hi-Tower was contracted to upgrade drainage infrastructure along Township Road 510 in Strathcona County, addressing water flow issues and road stability concerns. The Strathcona County Township 510 Drainage Project involved culvert replacement, excavation, and drainage cleanout to prevent future flooding and erosion. This work was critical in ensuring the long-term durability of the roadway while improving drainage capacity to handle seasonal runoff efficiently.

Project Scope & Solutions

Culvert Replacement:

○ Removed and replaced a 1,000mm culvert due to degradation.
○ Ensured optimized water flow and drainage efficiency for long-term stability.

Excavation & Road Reconstruction:

○ Cut and removed existing asphalt layers to expose the drainage system.
○ Excavated 700 cubic meters of material to prepare for new infrastructure installation.

Reinforced Base & Paving:

○ Installed geo fabric to enhance ground stability and prevent future subsidence.
○ Backfilled with a granular base and crushed concrete, improving road structure and drainage efficiency.
○ Re-paved the roadway to restore full traffic function and ensure durability.

Drainage Cleanout & Water Flow Optimization:

○ Conducted extensive drainage maintenance to clear debris and improve water movement.
