Erosion Control Project: Mitigation & Channel Stabilization

As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements, Hi-Tower completed this erosion control project and drainage enhancements along Northeast Anthony Henday Drive, focusing on water management and land stabilization. This project was part of a series of improvements Hi-Tower has undertaken along the Anthony Henday corridor, from Manning to Whitemud and neighbouring arterials.

Additionally, specialized construction methods were implemented to ensure safe operations over a high-pressure pipeline, minimizing disturbance while securing long-term erosion control.

Project Scope & Solutions

○ Erosion Control Measures: Designed and implemented deep channeling (2.5–2 meters deep) to control water flow.

○ Excavation & Soil Reinforcement: Removed unstable materials and replaced them with high-quality clay fill, placed and compacted for durability.

○ Drainage Enhancements: Rebuilt roadside ditches to redirect water away from infrastructure.

○ Seeding & Soil Protection: Installed straw matting and drill-seeded the site to restore vegetation and prevent further erosion.

○ Specialized Safety Measures: Conducted work over a high-pressure pipeline, ensuring compliance with strict safety and environmental protocols.

○ Extensive Coverage: Executed seeding and drainage improvements from Manning to Whitemud and neighbouring arterials as part of a broader infrastructure enhancement initiative.
